That Guilty Look

Sometimes I get tired of telling kids to stop picking their nose/teeth/private parts and just try to look the other way.

I fast forward through the slow bits of p90x to get it done with sooner.

I count audio books listened to as books I’ve read.

I drink a Diet Coke everyday and begin to panic when I’m running low and there are no sales (cuz I will NEVER pay grocery store normal price for soda!)

I “accidentally” forget to look under my kids’ beds and dressers when inspecting their clean up job.

Sometimes… Rice is a veggie at dinner time.

I bought the kids almost nothing for Christmas and really hope the extended family got them a few fun gifts.

I almost never clean the bathroom. I keep hoping someone will surprise me with some free maid service and I wouldn’t want to clean right before the maid came. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I go to sleep before my kids do on most nights.

The only background music I can stand is Christmas music.

Clutter stresses me out more than deadlines.

I screen 99% of all phone calls, and the 1% of the time that I pick up, there us a 100% chance it’s a telemarketer.

I have possibly taken perfectly good zip lick bags out of the trash in my classroom so that I can wash and re-use at home.

Spill it… what do you have to confess?

  1. I’m the same way with background music!! What IS it about this time of year or type of music that we can stand to have it on for hours at a time when any other time of year, nothing less than total silence is tolerable?? I don’t get it either. But I have the yuletide fireplace channel on for a portion of the day almost every day!

I’m with you on the call-screening percentages and the ‘rice as vegetable’ thing, too!

  2. Sometimes I tell my kids to only bother me if it is on fire or if it is bleeding.

I’ve eaten my kid’s halloween chocolate without telling them.

Self serve crackers and cheese are a great dinner.

    Audiobooks ROCK!

    Bathrooms? Clean? Ha!

I’ve been known to go a few days between showers.

TV is on more than it should be, mostly tuned to Nick.

I use my iPad to check e-mail before I even get out of bed in the morning.

I don’t make my kids do enough work around the house. I don’t have time to monitor and show them how to do a chore.

    Candy? Soda? Check and Check.

I make my kids make my coffee.

I buy toys for myself, and not “adult” toys. Regular kid toys.

I really don’t like Christmas. At all.

Boy that is cleansing, sharing my “confessions” LOL!

  3. Sometimes I yell at my children.

Once I told (yelled at) them that I would call Santa and cancel Christmas if they didn’t stop bickering with each other.

    It was just yesterday.

  4. Tankini swim suit bottoms can double as underwear in a pinch if you are running late in the morning and you realize that all of your underwear is in the wash. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. I’ve done some of these things, too! And I confess to feeding my kids cereal or popcorn for dinner, digging in the dirty clothes for something to wear and only forcing my kids to bathe properly 1 time a week.

  6. I offered to build a lego building for Bitty today (so he could take a break from building and actually play with the lego stuff he’d already built of course) because I wanted to have some fun building with legos on my last day off from work!

Hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas!
