God knew what He was doing

when he matched my son and I.

He’s quite a good reader for a four year old. But he showed off a new sight word the other day. “FREE”. He saw one of my coupons and said, “Mommy, it’s free!! We can get it for free!”

Here are Pooh Bear and Judge McN*. My son put them all cozy-like on the couch with a blankie and pillow and manual???

The Flash: “Mommy, Pooh Bear and Judge McN are reading. Do you know what they are reading?”

Me: “No. What are they reading?”

The Flash: “About free stuff. That means it doesn’t cost anything.”

Me: “Awesome!”

The Flash: “And they’ll get $6 back.”

Boo Yah! I have taught my son my cheapo frugal tricks well! That statement got a big ol’ high elbow.

*Judge McN was given to him by, well, Judge McN when his adoption was finalized. We had originally called him “The tiger from Judge McN” but somehow that has morphed into the judge’s namesake.

Love the stuffy’s name. My little guy got a tuffy from the hospital when he had surgery and now we call it Dr. Ruby for Dr. Ruben!

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. That’s so funny! I hope to teach my kids how to be cheap…errr…frugal as well 🙂

  3. hee hee! B-man the other day told me that he was going to make a fishing pole so that he can catch fish – that way we don’t have to spend money at the store to buy fish. Hooray for frugal little children looking for ways to get free things!

  4. What a cute story and how wonderful that he is such a good reader at his age.

  5. too funny! My sons are sucked in the same way by “free offers” on the boxes of cereal and such.

  6. That is too cute! I didn’t know Pooh was a bargain shopper.
