A is for Apple song

I

made this song board with Boardmaker software. The song is my favorite Cookie Monster song with a twist. I sing this song with my students for their “letter of the week” as well as at home with my daughter (who is currently learning her alphabet).

Ahem… (warming up my voice now)

A is for (choose one picture and put it on the apple side) “arrow” that’s good enough for (insert my name here)
A is for “arrow”, that’s good enough for (my name)
A is for “arrow”, that’s good enough for (my name)
Oh, “arrow”, “arrow”, “arrow” starts with A!

repeat with new verses for every person in the room, each person choosing a different A word

I’ve found this is also an excellent tool for students who do not know their classmates names to practice every day in a non-threatning manner.
