The Hat (Book Companion)
This unit is designed to accompany the story, “The Hat” by Jan Brett. The activities in this unit are designed to foster language and articulation skills while also learning from a great picture book.
The book is not included in this download.
I highly recommend putting each section into a page protector sleeve and then clipping all of the sleeves together. This method of organization makes it very easy to find and organize your materials.
“The Hat Speech Therapy Book Companion” allows the educator to use the same book with almost every student on their caseload. Activities and worksheets are divided into

❤️ “This is a very comprehensive book companion for a great book! This packet directly targets artic, vocabulary, describing, grammar/sentence structure, sequencing/narrative language development, and social language/perspective taking! I especially like how the vocabulary words come directly from the book. My students like to search through the book to find the vocabulary words and use context clues to determine the definition. Thank you for taking the time to create such a useful resource!”
❤️ “Kids love the book and the activities. I love the goals that I can target with one book. Thanks for the ideas!”
