Embracing 40: A new series

I am mid-way through my 40th year of life. Wow. In all reality, as a child I never imagined myself living this long. It is not because I was ill or had a family history of early death, but because, like many children, I just couldn’t imagine myself as anything but a child.

I am no longer a youth:ย  I am done with school. I am married with a family. I am living in my dream house. I see the aging signs: I am frequently injured for weeks at a time. I forget items within minutes of hearing them. I gain weight by looking at food. I sweat at night. A lot.

But, I know that this is not the end, just the mid-way point. So, this year (and hopefully in the years to come), I am embracing 40. I will take steps to be mindful of who I am, who I can become, and what I want my story to look like.

Here are a few of the topics that I plan to cover this new monthly series:

  • Appearance
  • Endurance
  • Finances
  • Parenting teens
  • Healthy Eating

So hop on board this journey! If you are in your 40s like me, let’s grow together! If you are older, please give me your wisdom. And if you have not yet reached your 40s, learn from my mistakes now so that your 40s can be even better!

Please COMMENT below if you too are in your 40s and ready to embrace it!

Make sure to check “Notify me of follow-up comments by email” so we can all journey together!
